I am presently pestered by a question that is answered in different ways by different making conundrum more complex. Finally, I was directed to this page by Vishnujana Prabhu.
I want to know if I am pursuing a career that involves investments in stocks, will my income be counted under an income that has come out of gambling? I am studying the scripts for days and nights and only after that I come to a decision whether to buy or sell.
What is gambling in stock market? In finance gambling can be labelled as a trade done under somebody else's recommendation or without studying the script before you enter it.
My friend once went to a casino in Singapore. He started putting money there and started earning regularly. After few days he was banned from entering that casino. The reason was he was claimed to be studying the whole game and then entering it. They said "you can only gamble here but can't study. The casino demands that you only gamble here.
Studying before putting money is not allowed." It is quite clear that anything that takes sweat and toil cant be labelled as gambling. Are the people doing MBA in finance or the financial analysts gamblers? It is very easy to say yes for a person who dont have an inkling of what finance is but ask the person who is striving to make his bread and butter out of it.
I need Maharaja's opinion on this. So that I can work on it. I shall respect Maharaja's decision wholeheartedly.^ Show less

Question: The greatest gift a spiritual master can give is the seed of devotional service. How do we know if the guru (spiritual master) actually has the seed to give out? This question has been answered by His Grace Gokulacandra Prabhu, a senior disciple of His Holiness Bhakti Vikasa Maharaj upon Maharaj's request.

Recently one congregation devotee asked me "I am having some material problem for a long time and my father suggested/forced me to show to an astrologer who suggested me to worship some demigod and my problems will be solved. He gave 100% guarantee. This will cost Rs.35,000 but if result is not there he will return all money". So his father is forcing him but he doesn't want to take shelter of someone else than Krsna. But he asked me "when a devotee becomes sick he also goes to see doctor which is like taking shelter of a demigod for curing some material problem. So why this is allowed while demigod worship for solving material problems is not? What is the difference? In Ayurveda also worship of demigods is sometimes recommended to cure some disease. It seems logical that we worship demigods to solve material problems that are posing hindrance in our service to Krsna".
So I request Your Holiness to reveal answer to this.

Question: As far as, your very straight forward and strict (uncompromised) preaching mood is concerned, myself sometime feels a tinge of confusion as to what we should be necessary following – either we should go with a mood of not to compromise as far as philosophy, principles and instructions are concerned or in case of preaching neophytes and in mood of compassion if we are lenient at certain places, then that is alright?

Question: Hi! It's a cliche question and many must have asked you, "what's the purpose of life?" Is it only a means of ensuring the sustenance of human race, some doing ordinary, some extra ordinary and all going back? How do I know what's best for me?
