Get Rid of Sexual Desire

February 27, 2011 |

Question: My question is, why in the material world is things so disgusting like sex life so attractive? Why does sex life start of so sweet but end bitter, and why is it so hard to get out of? In essence my question is about me being attached to masturbation. Part of that might be because I am not feeling ecstasy in Krishna consciousness or I am not losing the lower taste and acquiring the higher taste. Please tell me with your mercy how to gain the higher taste and lose such dirty habits such as masturbation. How to be ecstatic in Krishna Consciousness?

How Did Sukadeva Become an Impersonalist Even He Knew That Krishna is Supreme?

Question:

How was it possible that Sukadeva Goswami became an impersonalist (Brahmavadi) but then became attracted to Krishna’s personalistic activities?

I ask this because I have heard from senior devotees that Suka is parrot of Radharani and that in his form as a parrot, he heard Bhagavatam from Lord Siva while he was explaining it to Mother Parvathi.

Also Sukadeva Goswami remained in the womb of his mother (Bitika) for around 16 years as he refused to come out. But after Krishna assured him that he will not be attracted by His Maya energy, then he came out. This means that Suka knows Krishna is supreme. Then how did he become an impersonalist.

Question:

I am listening to one of your lecture and an inquiry is made about chanting rounds or the Holy Name etc. for others.

In the Gita mahatmya there is one section where a bull is dying and all the people come and promise to give some of their accrued punya to the bull including a prostitute - she did it because she didn't want be the one who didn't because she thought she had no punya to give. But because the blessing from the prostitute alone the bull was born as a high brahmana and traced her out to find out what was her punya etc. She confessed that she was a prostitute and actually had no punya. But after some thought it was revealed that she had some parrots who used to belong to someone who chanted a specific chapter of the Gita daily and she used to listen to that and for this reason she had punya etc. So it seems that one can gift one's own punya to others. How would you explain this?

Why The Lord Need to Put Tilak

January 9, 2014 |

Question: Why is it necessary for The Lord to put on tilak? Tilak is a symbol of The Lord's lotus feet and Tulasi, so why is Krsna also wearing tilak like us. Is there any sasta praman of Krsna's tilak in the scriptures. If he is wearing tilak just as a decoration then why is he wearing it in the same way as we wear it.
