Why the Lecture Was Taken Off from the Website

October 10, 2011 |

Question: I am wanting to ask His Holiness Bhaki Vikasa Swami who and why was the "Some concerns about ISKCON" banned from being presented on his website? I hope that this is part of an agreement to resolve the issues presented in the lecture. Please let everyone know that the lecture can be heard at oneiskcon.com. I have no plans to remove it.

Question:

In the Nectar of Devotion, Part1 Chapter 9, Further Consider of Devotional Principles, Srila Prabhupada says and I quote–The Padma Purana also mentions, “A person whose body is decorated with the pulp of sandalwood, with paintings of the holy name of the Lord, is delivered from all sinful reactions, and after his death he goes directly to Krishnaloka to live in association with the Supreme Personality of Godhead.”

Does this authenticate tattooing our body which I have seen is prevalent in Iskcon on North America?

Why Channa Avatar in Kali-yuga

July 10, 2011 |

Question: Prahlada Maharaja mentions in his prayers to Lord Narsimha Deva that the Supreme Lord is called triyugi becuase He appears in three yugas except kaliyuga and in Kaliyuga He appears as channa avatar. What is the reason that the Supreme Lord does not reveal His identity as the Supreme Personality of Godhead in Kali-yuga. Can someone shed some light on this with proper pramana?

Question:

Following on this topic, there is a very unusual but common understanding among devotees which prevents them from understanding and thinking about the points that you have discussed in your lecture on this topic.

Their understanding is that "Every Guru in ISKCON has a different mood and thus a different way of pleasing Srila Prabhupada. So all of them are right in their own capacity" For eg: H H Indradyumna Swami preaches by telling stories, H H Bhakti Marg Swami preaches by walking around Canada, H H Jayapataka Swami preaches by travelling extensively throughout the world, likewise every Guru has a different way of preaching. This thought is more prevalent in a multi guru scenario where disciples of various gurus are in the same congregation. One example, could be Damodardesh. If all devotees start thinking like this, there will be a day when there won't be any difference between right and wrong.

How do we address this understanding?

November 2, 2013 |

Question: 1) As you know we have our Swarupa in the spiritual world and we can change that too. So, do you think there is one Srimati Radharani or many? Is there one Nanda Maharaja or many? One Yashodha Mataji or many? 2) So, do we have one Lord Shiva or many? We have many Brahmas and many universes and many Rudra manifestations. So what do you known about that?
