    Posted on March 30, 2017

One time in winter Keshava Maharaja and Narayana Maharaja came to visit Srila Prabhupada at Radha Damodara. He had a severe cold but he would sleep on the cold floor on a thin grass mat. "Why dont you buy a bed?" they asked him. He replied, "I want to spend every paisa on books."

Recalled during speeches, Srila Prabhupada disappearance festival, Vrndavan, 1983; noted at that time by Bhakti Vikasa Swami.
