...family means rogues and thieves. Whatever you want, they'll take away. The pickpocket takes from your pocket and he becomes a criminal, and when the wife takes thousand dollars from your pocket, you do not consider her to be criminal. You laugh, "Oh, you have taken the money?" "Yes, I've taken." The business is a pickpocket.

We have nothing to do with peace vigils. We simply want to spread this chanting of Hare Krsna, that's all. Once people take to this chanting of Hare Krsna, peace will automatically come.

TRANSLATION To render service to the husband, to be always favorably disposed toward the husband, to be equally well disposed toward the husband's relatives and friends, and to follow the vows of the husband -- these are the four principles to be followed by women described as chaste.

If you put restrictions then not so many men will come, but sincere ones will come, those who are actually sincerely searching after real spiritual life.

...because they cannot enter into the network of the lotus feet of the Lord, all mental speculators differ in conclusions, and at the end they make a useless compromise by saying, "as many conclusions, as many ways," according to one's own inclination (yatha-rucam).

One Arya-samajist... You see, in the Hindu society since a very long time, especially since the days of India's destruction of the original culture, so many offshoots they have come out under the name of so many isms. So there is one section who are called Arya-samajists. Their business is only to criticize all the scriptures.

So long we are stout and strong and we can work very nicely, the health is quite all right, take advantage of it. It is not Krsna consciousness movement is for the lazy fellow.

After the exit [of two Catholic priests who had come to meet Srila Prabhupada] Jayadvaita Prabhu commented to Srila Prabhupada that the priests liked to be in the role of his disciples.

Before taking rest after his night-time massage, Prabhupada asked Srutakirti, "How long does it take to read one verse and purport of my books, and understand it?" Srutakirti replied, "I suppose about thirty minutes."

We are all set of puppets of Krsna. I am also puppet. This is disciplic succession. We have to become puppet. As I am puppet of my Guru Maharaja, if you become my puppet, then that is success.

Prabhupada: If you want to remain unhappy by your whims, then God cannot help you. But you have got the independence. Hrdayananda: So Prabhupada, if some people say, "Well, I have no free will," that means that they are actually lazy.

Real guru will not talk differently. Some guru says that, "In my opinion, you should like this." And some guru will say, "In my opinion, you'll do this."
