Prabhupada: Srimad-Bhagavatam is presented in such a nice way that go on reading, reading, there are eighteen thousand verses, and in each verse you will find new knowledge about God, Srimad-Bhagavatam. And if you study one verse, it will take at least one month.
Professor Durckheim: Yes, I suppose so.
Prabhupada: Yes. So eighteen thousand month you have to live.
Professor Durckheim: [laughs] Very good.
Hamsaduta: 1,500 years.
Prabhupada: What these theologicians think about God? It is already 1,500 months' substance to read. What they will discover? Teeny discovery? We have already stock for 1,500 years' understanding. So what we have to understand from them? If a gentleman simply reads the Srimad-Bhagavatam quietly at home, he will be fully conversant, fully aware of what is God.

Srila Prabhupada: Srimad-Bhagavatam, eighteen thousand verses. And each and every verse is so important that if a serious student studies each and every verse, each verse will take at least one month to understand. And there are eighteen thousand verses, so for serious study of Srimad-Bhagavatam, it will take eighteen thousand months. So eighteen thousand months meaning how many years? One thousand five hundred years.
