(From a talk by Hari-sauri Prabhu)
When we were in Bombay, in early 1976 or late 1975, Prabhupada was discussing the plans for the new temple at Juhu Beach. And, it was mentioned that one doctor, he was a life member, he had volunteered that he would start some clinic at the temple there. So they wondered, "Shall we set a room aside for the clinic on the side of the temple?" And Prabhupada said, "No!" He said there already so many hospitals and so many clinics; that's already being taken care of. If somebody gets materially sick, then they can go to those places. But he said, "We are interested in, we are spiritual doctors. That's the difference." He said that we are only interested in the spiritual health – otherwise there are so many doctors, so many hospitals and so many medicines. But Prabhupada wanted a permanent solution to the health problems.
