Women: Masters or Mothers? is a book containing spiritual guidance for women from scriptures and Śrīla Prabhupāda’s teachings. A woman who follows the instructions given in this book will make her home and family happy in Kṛṣṇa consciousness.
By developing the ideal qualities of a woman as described in Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (for example, Arci, Devahūti etc.) she can please the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Her ideal example, behavior and purity will inspire others in her family to become devotees.
In the Bhagavad-gītā Kṛṣṇa instructs Arjuna to execute his prescribed duty of fighting as a kṣatriya and at the same time remember Kṛṣṇa. By following Kṛṣṇa’s order Arjuna pleased Kṛṣṇa.
Just like Arjuna, women also have their unique prescribed duty which is given in various scriptures. And by following their duties in Kṛṣṇa consciousness they can also please Kṛṣṇa as Arjuna did. Thus this book gives much required guidance which can help all women take up their roles as women and thus be able to attain to pure devotional service.
