  1. Women addressed as mothers

    Hansaduta Dasa recalls: Early on when we were still debating how to address the female devotees, Prabhupada cleared the way by saying that we are to address all women, regardless of how young or old as "mother," either they are actually mothers or they are potential mothers.
  2. Our Program

    A devotee told a story of when Prabhupada first came to India and traveled with his disciples in a group from one home to another. When they arrived in one place, Acyutananda asked Prabhupada, "What will our program be here?"
  3. Grateful God

    Only fools are ungrateful to their benefactors. The Lord, however, does not require benefit from anyone besides Himself because He is full in Himself; still He feels benefited by the unalloyed services of His devotees.
  4. Truth and Beauty

    There may sometimes be arguments about whether "truth" and "beauty" are compatible terms. One would willingly agree to express the truth, one might say, but since truth is not always beautiful -- indeed, it is frequently rather startling and unpleasant -- how is one to express truth and beauty at the same time?
