I remember when Prabhupada bargained with the two people to whom Hare Krishna Land had also been sold to. Ostensibly, Prabhupada didn’t know that when we entered into negotiations to buy the land, it had already been sold and was in court in litigation. But Prabhupada wanted this piece of the property. So after we won the long and extended battle with Mr. and Mrs. Nair, Prabhupada had to negotiate with the other two parties who had claims on the land. I saw Prabhupada deal with one Jain, a Gujarati businessman. He was a great, qualified businessman, but after he came to see Prabhupada and he came out of Prabhupada’s room, he was just so impressed that he turned to me, looked at me in the face, and said, “Your Guru Maharaja is pakka.” (laughter) Srila Prabhupada was so expert in everything he did.
